Lecturer in Politics

Carles Ferreira is lecturer in Politics at the University of Girona. He holds a PhD in Comparative Politics from the University of Kent (UK), an MA in Politics and Democracy from the UNED, and an MA in Communication and Cultural Studies from the UdG.

His research is situated in the field of comparative politics, with a particular focus on territorial politics, political communication and political parties. He has published in national and international peer-reviewed journals such as Party Politics, Nations and Nationalism, and Regional & Federal Studies, and has around ten years of teaching and research experience in Spain and the United Kingdom.

His professional trajectory includes advisory roles in both public and private institutions, including serving as Chief of Staff in the Government of Catalonia. This background provides direct insight into how political decisions are shaped, communicated and implemented.
